Cranberry Shores Chorus

Like SAI choruses world-wide, Cranberry Shores is focused on developing ways to keep all members
engaged with their sisters in song as well as moving forward with developing and honing the craft of
barbershop singing. We have continued to meet weekly via Zoom, where we socialize a bit, have a
barbershop college lesson, and practice a song or two virtually. We do this on mute while the learning
track plays for all to hear. Also, we have a short list of new songs which we are encouraged to learn at
home.

Through the month of June we invited current and former members of CSC to help us pull together a
music Zoom video of us singing “Happy Birthday,” “How We Sang Today,” and “A Little Help from
My Friends” to celebrate the birthdays of our dear friend and Associate Member Linda Masterson and
Former Member Sara Walden. We sent our individual video recordings to Sue Martin who put them
together, and synchronized our voices into a personalized YouTube song video for each birthday girl.
What fun we had both recording them and then hearing about how pleased the ladies were to receive
them.

Now we are working on another singing video of holiday songs which we will mail to our Supporters in
December to say thank you for their support. This will be in place of the usual slew of holiday strolls
and concerts which we do every year, which will more than likely be cancelled.

We are pleased to announce that Cranberry Shores has elevated Sue Martin to the roll of Associate
Director, joining Lynne Marshall, our other Associate Director. Besides being able to sing all four SAI
parts when needed, leading barbershop college sessions, and acting as a tape reviewer for 3 sections,
Sue is the one who organizes and hosts our weekly Zoom meetings/rehearsals and who will also be
producing the holiday video for Supporters mentioned above. Sue is a valuable member of our chorus
and we are thrilled to have her guidance and support during these “challenging” months and beyond.
