Rhythm of NH Show Chorus
The Rhythm of New Hampshire Show Chorus (RNH) hit the ground running after contest. We hosted our
annual Summer Singsation baseball game event, our director took a musical field trip to Nashville, TN, we
have three newly-formed quartets, and we are preparing for our show in October!
Summer Sing - A Success!
We had nine guests participate in this year’s Summer Singsation, ending with a performance at the Fisher
Cats game in Manchester to an almost full house of spectators. Our families had a blast and we were
thrilled to be able to sing. At our next rehearsal, we hosted a graduation ceremony for our guests. We had a
few guests audition to join our group. RNH is excited to welcome Janet Bedard, Shelley Curran, Marcia
Plourde and to get to know them even better - we’re also excited to have over 30 singers on the risers!
Harmony University Here We Come!
Our director, Jessie Caynon, was selected as one of the four recipients of the Grand Central Red Caps
Scholarship sponsored by the Barbershop Harmony Society, which covered the full tuition for the Directors
College at Harmony University. She was also selected to participate in the coaching apprentice/observer
program. "I was honored to be one of the first recipients of the Red Caps Scholarship!" Jessie stated. "I
learned so much from my experience in both the director college and the coaching apprentice/observer
program. I came back to RNH with renewed energy - I know I will be a better director and coach from
what I learned and I can't wait to attend Harmony University again!"
My Big, Fat, Monster Wedding - Join us for the biggest event of the century!
If you haven’t had your fill of royal weddings, then the Rhythm of New Hampshire Show Chorus has just
the event for you! RNH presents My Big, Fat, Monster Wedding on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2 and 7
p.m. at the Greater Derry Opera House, Derry, NH. Monsters, witches and a host of ghouls attend the
renewal of vows for Frankenstein and his lovely bride. Why a renewal? There was no time for a big
wedding after being chased out of town by villagers with pitchforks! As with all weddings, there are little
glitches and not everything goes according to plan.... Tickets are $15. for general admission and $12. for
seniors and children under 12 years of age. You can go to our website and purchase tickets for this Event of
the Season! Tickets will also be available at the door. Halloween costumes are encouraged, but not
mandatory for guests of the wedding. See you soon!
