Makes 8 apples

Elevate a simple fruit to the level of a delicious dessert with this easy baked apple recipe.
It’s a perfect opportunity to get children involved in the kitchen. They’ll love filling the
hollowed apples and drizzling on the molasses!
INGREDIENTS
8 Gala apples
½ cup rolled oats
½ cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup cranberries
½ cup sliced almonds, coarsely crushed
2 teaspoons cinnamon
½ teaspoon allspice
1 cup full-flavor molasses
Extra molasses, if needed
INSTRUCTIONS
1 Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a 9” x 13” high-walled baking pan with
foil and set aside.
2 Slice the top off each apple and use a melon baller to scoop out
the core, leaving the bottom and most of the flesh intact. In a
medium bowl, stir together all remaining ingredients except
molasses until well combined and brown sugar is broken up into
small pieces.
3 Place the apples in the baking pan. Add 2 spoonfuls of filling to
each apple. Pour 1 tablespoon molasses over the filling. Add enough
