The pulp transfer has been performed. As illustrated, harvesting was done via the dorsal
intermetatarsal artery. Upon releasing the tourniquet, no revascularization of the great toe
pulp occurred. Fortunately, the plantar portion had been preserved, allowing an end-to-end
anastomosis to be performed to restore vascularization to the great toe. Subsequently, the
pulp was successfully transferred to the thumb.
