Traffic accident resulting in dorsal degloving injuries affecting the 4th and 5th rays, as well as
damage to the extensor tendon of the 4th ray. Following wound debridement,
reconstruction of the extensor tendon of the 4th ray will be performed. Due to bone
substance loss at the proximal phalanx, a free osteocutaneous lateral arm flap will be
harvested to reconstruct the dorsal aspect of the proximal phalanx. The image below shows
steel wires used for cerclage fixation to secure the bone graft.
