to form KL-1383-20 K

Suitable for use on PSA 2.0 16V (110bhp, 135bhp) [DW10] HDI Diesel engines as
found in Citroën, Ford, Fiat, Lancia, Peugeot, Suzuki, Volvo etc.
The KL-1383-20-2 K upgrade kit is designed to be used with the KL-1383-292 K thread
cleaning kit, thus enabling the precise removal and drilling out of damaged glow plugs
and re-tapping the original M10x1 thread. It also allows for the repair of damaged M10x1
glow plug retaining threads by drilling up to M12x1. The new glow plug along with a
threaded sleeve (M12x1 to M10x1) can then be screwed into the cylinder head. With the
aid of the compressed air adaptor included in the set, air can be injected into the
combustion chamber so as to prevent dirt and swarf from entering the latter.

PSA 2.7 HDI and 3.0 HDI

Suitable for use on PSA 2.7 HDI and 3.0 HDI V6 Diesel engines as fitted to: 6
Citroën C5, C6 [engine codes: DT17TED (UHZ), DT17TED4 (UHZ), DT20C];
Peugeot 407, 607 [engine codes: DT17TED (UHZ), DT17TED4 (UHZ)];
Jaguar S-Type, XJ [engine codes: 7B, 7G, AJ-V6D]; and
Land Rover Discovery III, Range Rover Sport [engine code: 276DT].
The KL-1383-24 K glow plug tool set enables the accurate removal/drilling out of
damaged glow plugs and recutting the original M8x1 thread. It also allows the user to
repair a damaged M8x1 glow plug retaining thread by drilling it up to M10x1. Then, a
new glow plug together with a threaded sleeve (M10x1 to M8x1) is screwed into the
cylinder head. Impurities are prevented from entering the combustion chamber by using
the suction device for cleaning tool that comes with the kit.
