Test Tool Kit for Charge-Air Systems

Universally suitable for charge-air systems that are sealed with hose clamps.
The KL-0124-51 K test tool kit is designed to quickly, professionally and safely check
charge-air systems for leaks. The sealing- and adaptor plugs allow the complete
charge-air system to be squeezed off and pressurized with the aid of a tyre inflator.
Seal tightness checks can then be performed by means of a leak detector spray, but
leaks can also be detected by leak-generated noises or a drop in pressure. Any
leakage on connections, tubes, hoses, charge-air coolers or turbochargers can quickly
and easily be detected and localised using this tool. The special design of the plugs
ensure that they are securely held in place throughout the whole leak-checking
procedure. All the plugs from this kit are made of solid special material and, as a result,
feature an excellent slip-resistant surface. They are specifically designed to accurately
fit the respective connectors of the vehicle charge-air systems. All plugs are equipped
with a safety bead which ensures that the plug is securely held in the hose even if
there is still oil residue in it. Compact shape with fewer stages for ease of use and
safety have been given top priority in the design of these plugs making them
particularly suitable for narrow designs or for charge-air hoses with strong bending -
there, where conventional plugs won’t fit.
The kit is composed of 6 pairs of plugs (2-stage, with safety bead) with diameters
Ø 35/40mm, Ø 45/50mm, Ø 55/60mm, Ø 55/60mm, Ø 65/70mm, Ø 75/80mm,
Ø 85/90mm, a pressure relief valve, an extension tube (for narrow designs), a hose
clamp driver with flexible shaft (waf 6/7mm), and is supplied in a plastic storage case.
