Part A: General Information
SC&AM further facilitates the management of public assets and its subsequent disposal, if required,
while maintaining norms and standards as prescribed. All assets are valued in terms of their cost (or
deemed cost where historical costs were not available) less deprecia on and impairments in
prepara on of a GRAP-compliant asset register and financial statement disclosures.
4.2.4. Gi and dona ons received in kind from non-related par es
During the 2021/22 financial year there were two material dona ons received in kind from non-
related par es to the total value of R520 100. No material gi s were received.
4.2.5. Exemp ons and devia ons received from the Na onal Treasury
None.
4.2.6. Events a er the repor ng date
A er repor ng date, Members remunera on increases as from 01 April 2021 was implemented, and
the Annual Financial Statements were adjusted to the value of R1 161 435.
4.2.7. Compliance with the 30-day payments
During 2021/22 fourteen invoices with an accumulated value of R108 326 were se led in more
than 30 days. The reasons related to the breakdown of internal controls in submi ng the invoices
meously for payment.
The root causes for cases were inves gated and iden fied, and remedial steps and addi onal
controls (where needed) were implemented to eliminate the recurrence of such cases.
4.2.8. Acknowledgement and apprecia on
I wish to express my gra tude to Speaker Masizole Mnqasela, Deputy Speaker Beverly Schäfer, the
Rules Commi ee, the Shared Audit Commi ee, the Parliamentary Oversight Commi ee, Members
