5. STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY AND CONFIRMATION OF THE ACCURACY OF THE ANNUAL
REPORT

To the best of my knowledge and belief, I confirm the following:

• All informa on and amounts disclosed throughout the Annual Report are consistent;
• The Annual Report is complete, accurate and free from any omissions;
• The Annual Report has been prepared, where applicable to the WCPP, in accordance
with the guidelines on the annual reports as issued by Na onal Treasury;
• The annual financial statements (Part E) have been prepared in accordance with the
Standards of Generally Recognised Accoun ng Prac ce as prescribed by sec on 56(1) of
the Financial Management of Parliament and Provincial Legislatures Act, 2009 (Act 10 of
2009);
• The Accoun ng Officer is responsible for the prepara on of the annual financial
statements and for the judgements made in this informa on;
• The Accoun ng Officer is responsible for establishing and implemen ng a system of
internal control that has been designed to provide reasonable assurance as to the
integrity and reliability of the performance informa on, the human-resources
informa on and the annual financial statements; and
• The external auditors are engaged to express an independent opinion on the annual
financial statements.

In my opinion the Annual Report fairly reflects the opera ons, the performance informa on, the
human-resources informa on and the financial affairs of the WCPP for the financial year ended
31 March 2022.
