 History is His (God’s) Story, his sovereign plan for the world.

1 Corinthians 10:11a ‘These things happened to them as examples and
were written

down as warnings to us ....’

Acts 17:26 ‘From one man he made every nation of men that they
should inhabit the earth, and he determined the times
set for them and the exact places where they should

live.’

Revelation 15:4b ‘All nations will come and worship before you ….’

 Introduce the project on the Roman Empire and the Kingdom of God

Way to Work

1. Show the children a large picture of a Roman soldier or dress someone
up in a toga
or show some other DVD excerpt to capture the children’s attention.

Find out what the children already know about the Romans.

2. Explain that this is a history project, then talk about history as ‘His
Story’. Refer to the verses above.
