Finally, decide on the order of the pages in the book, stick in the pages attractively
and compile a contents page.
Week 8: Writing a letter of appreciation to mothers for Mother’s day
Creator and Creation, gratitude: List with the children the things which their mothers do for
them, the invisible and the visible. Give the children guidance as to how to set it out. Remind
them of the importance of sentences which make sense and the use of describing words to
enhance their work.
Week 9/10: All about Easter
Communication, Order and the Great Commission: God is a Master Communicator, who would
help us become skilled at communicating clearly with other people.
Invite the children to make a fact sheet about Easter. This gives them an opportunity to put
into practice what they have learned about headings, sub-headings, labelled pictures and
related texts, etc. It also gives them an opportunity to express the central truths about
what Jesus did on the cross in their own way.
