VICTORIANS AT SCHOOL
Ideally these lessons would be taught/experienced over the course of a day. A
typical Victorian school day could be planned and the children asked to wear
Victorian clothes.
Truth to Teach (Source)
Deuteronomy 6:4-8 Children should be taught the ways of God.
Colossians 2:3 ‘In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and
knowledge.’
Matthew 19:14 ‘Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not
hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as
these.”’
It is God’s heart for children to be brought up to know him as their Lord and
King.
All knowledge is found in Christ who created the world we live in.
Jesus loved children and spoke firmly against those who tried to harm children.
God raises up men and women to bring about social change to deal with
injustice.

The day could be planned around the normal times and breaks of the school day. Eg
8.45 am School bell rung to gather the children. Teacher with a cane in her
hand lines them up to lead into school silently.
