        Truth to Teach (Source)

                  Genesis 2:7   ‘The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into
                              his nostrils the breath of life and the man became a living being.’

                 To appreciate that God is the source of all life.

                 To distinguish between living, non-living and dead things.


                 To learn about life processes of nutrition, growth, reproduction, movement, respiration,
                   excretion and sensitivity.

                 To learn to describe the main functions of the most important human and plant organs.

                 To relate their understanding of science to their personal health.

                 To learn to use appropriate scientific vocabulary to describe and explain the behaviour of
                   living things.

                 To use first-hand experiences and secondary sources to obtain information.

                 To use IT to research and present scientific knowledge.

                 To use a wide range of methods including diagrams, drawing graphs, tables and charts, to
                   record and present information in an appropriate and systematic manner.

        Way to Work (Means)

        The children will be taught through weekly lessons, but will also conduct their own research
        individually, and in groups. They will use the Internet and other resources.
