TAKING NOTES

            Truth to Teach (Source)

 Note-taking is a useful skill for recording information from a speaker, from a book, from the
                    Internet, etc

 Only key words are needed when notes are taken

            Way to Work (Means)

               1. Review previous lessons.

               2. Remind the children of the main principles of note taking – eliminating most descriptive words,
                    articles and conjunctions.

               3. Read the children a section from a book from which they could take notes.

               4. Let the children complete the worksheet or else print something off the Internet for another
subject being studied. This could be then shortened into note form.

            Learning for Life (Fulfilment)

                1. The children should be increasingly confident in taking notes from the spoken or written word.
