•  Sensitivity to the needs and aspirations of all athletes, coaches, officials and administrators
                          involved in sport.

                       •  Respect for the sovereignty of each member National Federation and the various International
                          Sports Federations and Sports Development Agencies working to develop sport in Guam.

                       •  Recognition of the need to cooperate with all agencies contributing to the development of
                          sport in Guam and direct resources in a coordinated and considered fashion.

                       •  Obligation to communicate effectively with all members of GNOC (National Federations) and
                          non-Olympic national federations in Guam, as well as government and non-government
                          agencies involved in the development of sport in Guam.

                       •  Regular and fair evaluation of the GNOC Development Plan and its constituent strategies to
                          ensure that they are indeed meeting the needs of its members.

                       •  Active participation by members in all aspects of the GNOC’s Sports Development Plan.

                       •  Ensure the inclusion and equity of all athletes, members and stakeholders.

                       •  Promote sustainability programs.



                   4  Staff  Policies



                   4.1  Employment Conditions

                   The conditions of your employment have been outlined in your appointment letter.  This letter
                   confirms important details regarding your position such as:

                       •  Title
                       •  Term of Engagement
                       •  Remuneration
                       •  Benefits
                       •  Hours of work
                       •  Status of work
                       •  Other relevant issues to the position

                   Conditions may change as situations arise.   Any changes to your employment will be advised as and
                   when these changes occur.

                   These changes are not always the choice of GNOC.  Factors such as health concerns, economic climate
                   and changes to relevant National Laws and International Olympic Committee (IOC) requirements can
                   influence how we operate.

                   All staff must ensure that their contact details are up to date with the Executive Director at all times.

                   4.2  Hours of Work


                   Normal days of work are Monday to Friday with hours of duty determined in consultation with the
                   Secretary General.

                   Normal working hours are 9.00am to 4.00pm.   Employees are required to work at assigned times and
