INGREDIENTS PROCEDURE
3 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
01 Sift the flour together with the
2 teaspoons baking soda baking soda, cinnamon, cloves,
1 teaspoon cinnamon ginger,and cardamom in a
mixing bowl. Beat the butter
1 teaspoon ground cloves together with the white and
1 teaspoon ground ginger brown sugars in a mixing
bowl until light and fluffy. Mix in
1 teaspoon ground cardamom the egg and corn syrup until
1 cup butter smooth. Gradually stir in the
flour mixture until evenly
1 cup white sugar blended. Divide the
½ cup brown sugar, packed dough into 4 equal portions and
wrap tightly
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons dark corn syrup
02 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Lightly grease baking
sheets. Using 1 portion at a time,
work on a floured surface and
roll out dough to 1/8 inch thick.
PREP TIME Cut into shapes with cookie
cutter, and place 1 inch
apart on prepared baking sheets.
Prep | 30 m Bake in preheated oven until set,
about 5 minutes. Cool
Chill | 1-24 h completely.
Cook | 5 m Store in tightly covered tins.
