COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
THANK It was truly an inspiring year which included an outpouring of generosity and support from our community
and corporate partners across the state! To learn how you can get involved with our Samaritas programs,
YO U contact Lauren Brosch at lbros@samaritas.org
ALEXANDER PACE
Alexander Pace (12) hosted his 4th Annual Golf
Fore Kids Foster Care Christmas Toy Drive on
September 13 to collect new toys for our kiddos
in foster care. After the Pace family adopted their
daughter from foster care in 2016, Alex wanted
to do something to give back. Thank you for your
hard work and dedication Alex!
SAMARITAS BACKPACK DRIVE
This year, Samaritas held our annual Backpack
Drive 100% virtually. Individuals and community
partners stepped up in a big way by purchasing
backpacks and school supplies through Amazon
Wish Lists, which were then delivered to First
Presbyterian Church of Warren, and then
sent to Samaritas programs across the state.
Because of YOU, we met our goal of 1,200
backpacks and school supplies for kids in each
of our service lines! Thank you to the churches,
corporations and individuals who made this such
a tremendous success!
DTE ENERGY TECHNICAL TRAINING
After over 100 lbs of winter squash was stolen
out of our Family Center homeless shelter's
garden, our partners at DTE Technical Training
wanted to help supplement this loss. A few of the
employees came together to purchase cart loads
of towels, wash cloths, laundry detergent, sheets
and personal care items. Thank you DTE Energy
Technical Training!
