2020
Summer Drive-In
We don’t mean to toot our horns but BEEP BEEP – our
sponsors and supporters ROCK! The first ever Samaritas
Summer Drive-In presented by Delta Dental and TCF Bank
raised $122,000!
This 1950’s themed event drove guests back in time to a truly
unique, in-person, event experience. Attendees enjoyed the
nostalgia of the drive-in movie theater, grilled burgers and root
beer floats delivered to their cars, and classic 50’s tunes from the
Memphis Thrillbillies all in the open air under the summer night
sky from the safety of their car.
Event chair Margaret Trimer, vice president of Strategic
Partnerships at Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio & Indiana and
vice-chair Thomas Shafer, president & COO of TCF National
Bank helped lead an important mission program focusing on the
critical funding needs to help support Samaritas programs during
this COVID-19 pandemic. We are very honored and excited to
announce that Tom Shafer has already signed on to be next year's
event chair!
Honored at the event with our annual partner awards were David
Lochner, DTE Energy Technical Training, Delta Dental and
Christ Church Cranbrook.
The night ended with a blast from the past with a featured
showing of the classic movie, Back to the Future.
