IF YOUR VEHICLE
HAS BEEN BROKEN INTO ...

Keep your vehicle safe by following the safety tips on the
opposite page. If your vehicle has been broken into,
make sure you do the following:
• Report it to the police by dialling the non emergency
number 101, and file a report even if nothing has
been stolen.
• If you witness your vehicle being broken into, dial 999
and tell the police the offender is nearby.
• Inform your insurance company.
• Do not touch anything, in case the police need
to take finger prints or carry out other forensic
investigation.
• Make a note of anything that is missing or stolen
and photograph any damage done to your vehicle.
