Although Marilyn had found the weight, this time Jane snatched the jack away, to the 29
very back of the carpet. Chris was already 2 down and when he tapped the jack off the
carpet, he conceded two shots and the gap closed to 4-3. The two leads are playing very
well now and again Jane moves the jack to the back but Chris muscles his way through and
then draws a second to lead 6-3.
On the 6th end and down a shot Joe Battista draws his first 2 in with all the other woods
behind and Chris Tilbrook is heavy again and Joe draws a third to square the game 6-6. On
the next end Jane Battista drops her final wood tantalisingly onto the front of the jack.
Chris only needs to tap it back. His first two are narrow, misses and it won't be easy to
cover the movement on the jack with the way the woods lie so he does for the blocker which
forces Chris onto the other hand, hitting the middle block and Joe & Jane win a great match
7-6. Many thanks to everyone for another great weekend and for helping us to raise another
£210 for East Anglia Air Ambulance.

             What makes a Cover photo?
             What makes a Cover photo?
I have been asked a number of times about cover photos and let me say from the start
that they must be portrait photos. i.e. taller than wider. Enough to fill an A4 page like
this one AFTER I have blown them up, size not Dynamite!. The quality of the photos
must be reasonably good and NOT PREVIOUSLY RESIZED IN ANY WAY i.e. straight from
ypur camera in full size . Also, they must not be played about with in any way. Even with
a portrait photo I can still struggle to get everything to fit exactly.
Yes, I can sometimes play about with photos and get a partly landscaped photo to
fit, especially if I need to print a notice or whatever, like the centre right cover above. I
have written an article with examples of changes to show what I sometimes have to do
and this will be in a later issue.
Over the 25 years I have been printing the magazine I have only printed two Land-
scaped covers. Usually because I do not have a suitable portrait photo or there is some-
thing special about the landscaped photo. Most of the photos I get are basically
landscape so I do sometimes struggle to produce a cover, under the new name of
course. I do not want a scramble or fight amongst you to get on the cover but it certainly
             would help!!!!!
