There were wins for the Murnaham triple 19
by 10-2 and for McSorley by 8 – 5. The
final was not as keenly contested as the
rinks. The triple of Adam Rankin, Marty
McNicholl and Stephen McSorley had a
comfortable 11-4 win.
The pairs traditionally has the biggest
entry and is the most competitive section.
In the semi finals Kevin and Sean Conroy
defeated Conroy proved too strong defeat-
ing Harrison 9 – 4 while Gerard Conroy

In the singles, Cookstown High’s Alan Paul met Andrew Steele winning comfortably 12-2
while in the other half the very in form Brian Rankin Derramore defeated Gerry Moen 9 – 8. What
was expected to be a very close final proved otherwise with Paul in excellent form winning 13-4.
The winners qualify for World Bowls in Sweden in 2017.

In the semi final St Mark’s met the competitions most successful team, Cookstown Parochial.
Parochial do not seem to be the dominant side they have been in recent years while St Mark’s
appear to becoming the dominance Parochial once enjoyed. J Richardson 8 P Hanlon 5; A Leckey

In the other semi final, All Saint’s proved too strong for 1st Ahoghill. D Morrison 7 E Campbell
9; W Morrison 6 J Wilson 5; A Morrison 3 D J Wilson 9. Resulting in a comfortable 23 - 16 win for
All Saint’s.
The final turned out to be less close than expected. The game was evenly contested for the
first 6 ends but when Andy Leckey’s rink picked up a stunning 7 against Jonnie Wilson the writing
was on the wall for All Saint’s, Tullylish as St Mark’s went on to win 30 – 15 with St Marks retaining
