In the Plate Competition, Pickie were unable to attend due to a prearranged AGM letting Armagh
GC progress to the final. In the other semi final, Benevarden met Whitecross and came through
easily by 39 – 12. B Kane 11 P O’Keefe 2; A McIntyre 15 S McParland 1; R Kane 13 A O’Keefe 9
The final was a much closer affair with Armagh GC winning 2 of the 3 games with R Kane’s
13-1 win proving decisive. The other games were C Dunwoody 7 A McIntyre 6; G Crothers 13 B
Kane 6; R Kidd 1 R Kane 13. Leaving Armagh GC winning 25 - 21, despite only winning one of
the three games

National Sports Centre
The National Sports Campus is providing state-of-the-art
sports facilities to elite athletes in Ireland while offering
valuable amenities to the local community. The Campus
boasts an impressive array of facilities including the Na-
tional Aquatic Centre, Centre for the Football Association
of Ireland and the national team, Irish Institute of Sport-
providing sports science and medical facilities.

local level and further afield, the equipment required and how best he might advertise and involve
the community which has a catchment area of some 450,000. At present there are no clubs in the
Dublin area in the IIBA though there are clubs playing the game and the Association are trying to
make contact with some to see if they can get a base established.
