The East Devon Annual charity event
raised £1,000 for Headlight Project
from Axminster who provide help and
support for young people with mental
health issues.
The money was raised through donations from the
competitors who took part in a regional short-mat
bowls competition, the Inter Area Challenge, organ-
ised by the East Devon group. The event attracted
teams from across Devon, Dorset, Portsmouth as
well as the England Ladies team, the competition
was won by Dorset County.
East Devon Short-mat Bowls Secretary Caro-
line Pavey said, (as organisers of this event we really
wanted to support a local charity and Headlight, with
its support for young people in Axminster was a pop-
ular choice.
