Headlight is run by Action East Devon and works across the area. Mental health worker
Lola Coombs said “Headlight enables young people who are experiencing emotional dis-
tress to access support in a fun and informal way. We are thrilled to receive such a large
amount of money,which will support sessions and fun activities in the coming year for the
young people in Axminster.

Raise £2,600 for
Macmillan
Short Mat Bowlers from Hereford-
shire, Gloucestershire and beyond
raised a magnificent £2,600 for
Macmillan Cancer Support in the
27th running of their annual char-
ity tournament which was held for
the first time at Leominster Indoor
Bowling Centre.
The new venue attracted an

games. The result was, therefore,
decided on shot difference and it was a successful day for Gloucestershire teams as the Tewkes-
bury team of Pauline Schofield, Dave Moss, Rose & Derek Wilson prevailed by a single shot
over Pauline Turner, Geoff Knight, Adrian Atrill & Bob Wood of Gloster Knights.
Further back on shots were teams from Woolhope, Dolau, Whitton and Ross who had also
won all of their games. Ian Park ran the event on the day and Pam Park and Pam Griffiths
manned the refreshment stand. Peter Rowland of Macmillan organised the raffle with Richard
Bemand providing umpiring support and Anthony Rogers and his helpers performing the hard
work of transporting and setting up all of the mats.
