Ryan O'Neill de-
servedly claimed his
first Irish singles title
with a 12 - 5 win over
Terry Crawford. Ryan was never behind in the
game but on at least three occasions had to pro-
duce an exceptional bowl when there were three
shots against him.
The victory was thoroughly deserved from an inform player who played with confidence
and produced the big shot when needed. In the photo the IIBA President presents the National
Singles trophy to Ryan O'Neill United Services North West Zone.

The Hillsborough triple of Nick Haire,
Nathan Haire and Andy Riley claimed a last
bowl win over Mark Sproule, Terry Mulhol-
land and Paul Whittle.
It was a game in which little sepa-
rated the two until the Lisburn triple took a
3 shot lead in the 10th end only for the
Cranagill triple to square in in the next end.
Mark drew shot with his final bowl to lie
game but Nick played an excellent delivery to squeeze him out and claim the title.
