picked up a 3 for victory.
Last End Win for Pauline
Last End Win for Pauline
St. Marks Pauline Beattie inflicted a second suc-
cessive last end defeat on Cookstown Parochial's
Brigid Davidson who lost last year's final also on
the last end.
Brigid led throughout what had been an ex-
cellent game and was 10 - 9 up going into the last
end. Pauline drew shot to lay 2 and game. Brigid's
last bowl failed to change the head giving Pauline
another Irish title.
Ladies Pairs Title Off To North Down
Ladies Pairs Title Off To North Down
Ballywalter Park's Elaine Hastings and
Georgie Blair claimed the Ladies Pairs
with an 11 - 8 win over Megan and Jen-
nifer Wilson Michelin.
The North Down Ladies got off to
the better start but the mother and daugh-
ter combination gradually got into the
game and until the 10th end little sepa-
rated the two pair.
Going into the last end the Michelin
ladies were 2 down but with the Ballywal-
ter pair lying shot Megan was not able to
claim the two needed for a tie end.

the Triples Title
Glendermott Pres triple of Lynn Hamil-
ton. June McClure and Elizabeth Haire
took the triples with a 16 - 11 win over
Bernie O'Neill, Caroline Murray and
Margaret Campbell St Colum's.
The Foyle triple got off to a slow
start and quickly found themselves trail-
ing but a 3 on the 7th end followed by a
6 on the 8th totally transformed the
game and they never looked back after that
their opponents picking up just 2 shots in
the last 7 ends.
Over 55's Goes To Oriel
Over 55's Goes To Oriel
Redeemer's Sean Conroy and Billy Taffe
looked totally out of the game for the first 8
ends with the St Johnston pair of Graham
and Sylvia Bell dominating the game 10 - 3.
However, Donegal pair picking up only
1 shot over the last 9 ends while the Oriel
pair went from strength to strength to pick
up what had seemed an unlikely win.
