THE NEW ESMBA WEBSITE
THE NEW ESMBA WEBSITE
(ED - No doubt there may be two sides to a story but the fol-
lowing copy email does not surprise me, it was aimed at the
ESMBA Regional Umpires organisers and was NOT sent to
me directly but through a trusted third party. As a picture of
how the ESMBA operates, it’s just how how I understand it.)
Just to let you all know that the new web site is now up
and running. If you go onto the esmba.co.uk web site, scroll down to the bottom of the page
and in the left hand corner in faint print there will be “site map”, click on this and you will have
access to all the present ESMBA information. I would like to know your feelings on our new
web site which has cost £1600 to set up?
I only found out by chance when I went into my e mail account on the old website, as it
rejected my pass word. The following day I rang Keith Hawkins regarding the problem and
was told that the new web site was now up and running. When I went on to the new web site
I found that it still had the old umpires’ information from October 2013. Also the front page re
umpires does not state that a written exam is required before the oral and practical tests.
1. No one had bothered to inform me when the switch over of web sites would take place.
2. No one had asked for the up to date information on the umpires section.
3. No one has asked what information I would have liked to be included in the umpires
section of the new web site.
4. I have still not been given the information on how to access my email account, so could
you use this email address (ED - a personal address I have not reproduced), for future contact.
It appears that I have lost all my information, email addresses of all umpires ( 132), email con-
tact groups (35), emails received and emails sent out. I have put in a lot of hours putting this
information on to my ESMBA email account and it appears to have been lost just through
someone not informing me of the time of the switch over.
