To comply with the family
requirement, he chose to
reside at Kuei Te field as the
assembly point for the
gathering of the clans in his
entourage, Szu Ping County.
In the olden days, Kuei Te was
known as Kuei I village, Shan
Ting administrative unit. It
was in this village that
ancestor Chiao Hsien
established the Yung Mao
Ancestral Hall for the Yan clan.
He became the First Ancestor
of the Yan clan in Fu Chien
Province.
4. Fourth son of ancestor Yan
Ching Mao, YAN HSIAO
became the Prefect (Chief
Registrar) of Chao Yang
County, of Chao Chou, Kuang
Tung Province and the lord
directing the development of
Chao Yang County. In the
beginning, he first dwelt in San
Pu hamlet, Tung An county,
both in Fu Chien Province.
After his retirement from
government service, he settled
down in Mount Chi, located in
Chi Shan, Chang Chou
prefecture where he establish
his own independent business
later on. Finally, he took up
his appointment and settled
down in Chao Yang County.
