Biography of forefather Yan Jen
Hsien.

Forefather Yan Jen Hsien, stylistic
name His Sheng, was the second son
of forefather Yan Chi. During the
Five Dynasties period (907-957 A.D.),
he was in government service as a
third grade official in An His county,
Fu Chien province (previously known
as Min territory).
No details were known of his
later descendants born into this
branch, which was known as the
“West” conjugal house.



Grave of Founding Ancestor Yan Chi

In the old record of the Yan clan, the
site of the tomb of first ancestor Yan
Chi was situated in a hill-lock with a
guard post built on the top to watch
the official trunk route passing along
the bridge head at Yung Lung pass,
Pu Cheng village, Ho Ping
administrative unit, 15th capital,
Yung Chun County. Yung Lung had
been renamed and known now a day
as Tai Ong hamlet in the same
capital.
