This inspiring program shows the power of music to be a window onto history - and transcend it.
More than an afternoon of beautiful music, this will be a rich educational experience because the music will
be accompanied by commentary and visuals, putting the lives of the composers into historical perspective. The
program will span classical to jazz styles, with a highlight being the premiere of a new work based on African
American spirituals by celebrated Philadelphia composer Kile Smith, who will be attending.

Want to have some of your artwork on display in the Municipal Building?
The Township of East Brunswick has created an Art Gallery in the Municipal Building Conference Room where residents
and local artists can have their work shown for the public to enjoy.
Interested artists can submit pictures of their work for the Arts Commission to review. Recommendations will then be made
to the Mayor’s Office. Chosen artists will have their work on display for approximately 4 months out of the year! All
submissions must be emailed to arts@eastbrunswick.org. (Artists can submit up to 10 pieces)
Artists will be notified in a timely fashion if their work has been chosen, and when they will be hung. Selected artists will get
