Sylvan Game Design: Levels 101, 102, 201, 202

    Designed to teach STEM concepts to students in a fun, interactive, and engaging way. The curriculum fosters innovation,
creativity, and imagination. This program features Tynker Technology that uses a step-by-step introduction to coding with
drop-and-drag technology. Computer programming is learned through video game design. They will also learn design
conceptions, pattern recognition, algorithmic thinking, and problem solving skills. Game Design 101 is a prerequisite for 102.
Game Design 201 is a prerequisite for 202.

Food Funtastics

Young chefs will learn mixing, measuring, cutting, spreading, and more! We will prepare either a healthy or fun dish. If

time allows, we will make both. One of the goals is to encourage youngsters to taste new dishes. Please bring a plastic

container to each class. A cookbook of recipes will be given at the end of the session.

This class will try to honor any dietary restrictions. For allergy concerns, please consult with the Recreation

Department before registering.

Summer Food Funtastics Camp

    This class will teach the basic fundamentals of cooking through a variety of fun and delicious recipes where they will also
learn how to balance flavors. Each day will feature a savory and a sweet preparation with different cultural influences. Please
bring a Tupperware container to each class so your child may bring home their yummy creations. Class instructor is Food
Network’s “CHOPPED Junior” finalist, Jacob Stern, with an adult assistant.

Kid’s Chess

    Beginning youth chess players are welcome to join our Chess Program, where they will be taught the basic strategies and
skills to improve their chess game and meet new friends. Instructor, Sneh Shah, and assistants are East Brunswick Youth
Council members and are accompanied by a Youth Council Supervisor.
