BENEFITS & PROGRAMS
The mission of the Louisiana State Bar Association is to assist and serve its members in the
practice of law. By way of member services, the LSBA offers many worthwhile programs designed
to complement your career, the legal profession and the community.
Some benefits of membership are difficult to quantify - the support of your colleagues, the value of
networking experiences, assisting the community and enhancing the profession through
volunteerism, and having an active voice in improving the rule of law in Louisiana. Others are
more easily measured - free online legal research, practice assistance programs, discounted
services and endorsed insurance programs.
Over the past several years, the legal profession has experienced many changes. The Louisiana
State Bar Association has managed to keep up with those changes by maturing in structure and
stature and becoming more diverse and competitive.
