Viewing Results
Fastcase also includes powerful citation analysis tools allowing users to find the most
authoritative and important cases faster. Sort the best cases to the top of the list: by relevance, by
date, or using Fastcase's patent-pending citation analysis tools. Many times, the winning case is
first or second on the list.

Reading Documents
The Fastcase user interface is intuitive and similar to industry standard applications.
Application menus provide additional options for viewing, sorting and printing. If you can
search the web, you can search Fastcase. Fastcase also allows users to jump to the most relevant
paragraph within a document from the specified search with a single click. Hyperlinked
citations and document summaries provide instant navigation between documents.

Document options provide key case intelligence and allow easy navigation:
1. Fastcase citation analysis displays the number ot'citing cases, in the database as
a whole and among the highly relevant cases in your search results.
2. Navigation options allow you to jump case-to-case or term-to-term through the
list of search results. If one term dominates the case, you can select which
specific search word to jump to next.
3. For long cases, the most relevant paragraph feature takes users straight to the
discussion of the search terms used, without scanning or scrolling.

Printing and Downloading Documents
Documents can be printed or downloaded from Fastcase to Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word,
WordPerfect, and other word processing applications.

Authority Check Feature
Searchers can find other cases that cite their case using Fastcase's Authority Check feature.
Once one finds a useful case, this feature can help him/her find other similar cases. Authority
Check also can help check whether a case is good law. Authority check is available on the
Result screen and on the Document screen, and it lists many of the later citations. On the results
page, Authority Check compares how often cases are cited, allowing users to sort the results to
bring the most authoritative cases to the top of the results list. With Fastcase, the seminal case
one needs often is first, not last.
