the Four Seasons New Orleans Hotel. The theme of the Conclave: Every Voice Counts: Bridging
Divides, Celebrating Differences.

Award Information:
The LSBA Committee on Diversity in the Legal Profession approved the recommendations listed
below under “Awards Background” on November 13, 2015. The LSBA Board of Governors
approved the recommendations for the Louisiana State Bar Association Chief Justice Bernette
Joshua Johnson Trailblazer Award and Louisiana State Bar Association Guardian of Diversity
Award on January 15, 2016.

2022-23 Awards Subcommittee Recommendation, Committee on Diversity in the Legal
Profession Award:
The Awards subcommittee met on January 12, 2023. The Diversity Committee approved the
recommendation on March 31, 2023.
The recipient was awarded at the Conclave on August 11, 2023.
