Diversity Committee Action
The Integration subcommittee held a meeting on March 28, 2023.
The Integration subcommittee discussed ways it could remain viable and further its mission, but
with a renewed purpose.
The subcommittee determined it should move its focus to building a speaker’s bureau and that this
would best further the mission of the subcommittee. This would strengthen the position of the
Diversity Committee to be able to readily provide the names of diverse speakers on not only DEI
topics, but also substantive law topics.
The subcommittee recommended the following:
Renaming the Integration subcommittee to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Speakers
Bureau. The subcommittee would meet a minimum of once per year; monitor the repository of
diverse speakers; and maintain a minimum of two co-chairs and at a minimum of two members.
