The Diversity Committee approved the Integration subcommittee recommendation on March 31,
2023.
Inclusive Professionalism Facilitators Training
The Integration subcommittee continues to recruit attorneys to become experienced facilitators to
become members of the “Facilitator Training Team.” This team of trained facilitators will train
other LSBA members across the state that have an interest in presenting diversity, equity, and
inclusion presentations.
The Integration Subcommittee has partnered with past facilitation team member, Deborah Love,
to contractually assist in updating presentations with updated research and presentation formats.

Professionalism Facilitators Training History
A “Train the LSBA Facilitator” workshop designed to equip speakers in facilitating discussions
to foster inclusive professionalism was implemented in 2011.
A planning retreat was held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, to begin developing a training model
and workshop. A training model and workshop was created, and the goal was to have seasoned
volunteers develop other volunteers and bring in professionals to reinforce the facilitation training
when necessary.

regarding its programming and activities to LGBT law student groups.
