“We promote, preserve and provide meaningful experiences with Paint Horses in the UK.”
Hello !!!!!
Can I firstly take this opportunity to say hello to everyone, and on this occasion, most especially to those of you whom I haven’t met before. I took over the role of President on Nov 11th at the AGM and I have to say l am so excited to take on this role. During my term, I will try my very best to steer UKPHA in the direction of growth, sustainability and most importantly, fun for everyone.
As part of the committee refresh, while Rob Painter has stayed on as treasurer to help with the transition, he did wish to cut back on some of the many other roles that he was carrying out over the years, one of which was the publication of the UKPHA Journal. Thankfully, our new Media & Marketing Officer Dani O’Brien has offered to produce the newsletter going forward but there will be a slight delay while Dani gets to grips with that. I will admit I tried but desktop publishing etc is definitely not my forte and therefore my sincere thanks and admiration goes to Dani for offering to pick this up, learn how to do it and make the commitment.
A complete list of the officers serving on committee is below, together with a list of the regional representatives. I would ask that if you, as a member, have any ideas, information or comments that you would like to make, be sure to contact us. We would love to hear from you, the member.
As part of our future planning it occurred to us, that the image and reality we would like for UKPHA, is that of a breed association that does more than organize competitions (even though they are great fun too and quite important). We want to bring all our members together in a relaxed atmosphere, where we can all enjoy that common bond, the paint horse. But while the paint horse is the commonality between us, we want our members to be part of a community, part of a huge ‘family’ that actually has households in every country on the planet! Its mind boggling to think that there are paint horse owners in Australia or Israel or Texas, all with the same thoughts and concerns that we have here in the UK, “when will the weather let up so I can ride, what’s best to feed my horse, why won’t my horse stand still or even, when will it be 5 o’clock so I can leave work and go play with my horse........” With that in mind, it’s my greatest pleasure to announce .......
