School Buses
A number of families have requested that we start to operate bus services to help with busy family logistics. We have done a study to analyse where current parents live as well as where we feel that there could be future demand and we have a number of potential bus routes in mind. We will start by running a bus to The Hop Pocket, near Bishop’s Frome, a little south of Bromyard. This service will not be operating immediately in the New Year as we need to confirm a driver. We hope that it will be in operation by Half Term and we will keep you posted.
The Start of Term 2021
Please look closely at the Calendar for the Spring Term. It is available now on our school website under ‘Parent Zone’ and we will be updating it on a regular basis.
At the time of writing, there is speculation about possible delays to the start of term for children of secondary school age. It is likely that our 100s pupils may have to return to school a few days late in order for us to achieve the staggered start that the government is advising. This may help us to implement a testing programme. These measures are not entirely clear. I will write again to parents on 4th January with final confirmation. This is a fast moving situation. Apologies for the degree of uncertainty at this stage.
Marketing
Much of our focus this term has been on making sure that what we offer here at Abberley Hall has a wide enough market to ensure growth. We feel confident that we 41 have the right structures now in place and a big focus next term will be on promoting the school through a strategic marketing campaign. We are very aware that our best advert
is happy and supportive parents and so I would like to thank you all for being such fantastic ambassadors and promotors of the school!
