Dear Parents,
Happy Christmas!
Our final week of term was a busy and very happy one with a string of events – a Festive Performing Arts Showcase, a Pre-Prep Nativity Play, a Boarders’ Christmas Party, Christmas Feasts, The Mini-Olympics, Christmas ‘Ents’ and, of course, two magical Carol Services. I hope that you enjoyed our Carol Services as much as I did and that your children are now enjoying a well-deserved break.
The Autumn term was a long one but, looking back, it was hugely positive. We returned to normality to a large extent, abandoned our school ‘bubbles’ and welcomed the return of parents to events. We had a tough time in November with a large covid outbreak but staff, pupils and parents rode this out with incredible resilience to come through with smiles intact.
I hope you enjoy reading the pages of this Newsletter and reflecting on some of what was achieved during the Autumn term and I hope that they help you to think ahead to the Spring term. Reports have been released and they are also available on your Parent Portal. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did and I hope that you will join with me in congratulating our wonderful children for having had such a hard-working and positive term.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, that you enjoy family time and plenty of great food. Teachers are also ready for a well-deserved break and we all look forward to welcoming you back to Abberley Hall for what I sense will be an extremely exciting and successful 2022.
