Currently a Year 13 pupil, Karson has been a pivotal member of the Malvern College Hong Kong team, playing regularly since the team was founded in 2018. Karson is the youngest player on his HK Pro team and is MCHK’s first professional footballer. We look forward to following Karson’s professional career!

Remarkable success for Sebastian S who over the summer made history at the National Prep School Athletics competition at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. After previously winning Shot Put Gold in both the Under 12 and Under 13 divisions, his incredible throw of 13.89m again won him Gold, making him national champion in his age group for the third year in a row. His record-breaking throw also set a new Championship Record! Not content with Shot Put glory, Sebastian also became national champion in the Javelin with a throw of 42.20m and was awarded the Corden Cup for the most outstanding performance at the Championship.
More recently, Sebastian competed in the English Schools’ Athletics Championships in the Under 15 Shot Put where he beat his U14 Championship record from earlier in the year with 14.07m, placing him fourth. Sebastian is certainly a multi-talented athlete who has dominated his field. We look forward to seeing his future athletic successes as a Malvern College pupil and beyond!

Two young golfers shone at the recent IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championships in San Diego. Arianna L made history as she won the Girls 15-18 section with a 205, 11 under par score, placing her on a pedestal with previous winners such as Tiger Woods! She also represented Hong Kong in the team event with her partner and tied for first place with Japan. This term, Arianna successfully defended her Asia Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) Junior Championship Girls’ Individual title. In a nail-biting final against top-ranked players from all around the world, Arianna hit a crucial hole-out eagle to secure the win.
Brighton C, Year 3, also competed at the IMG Championships in the 7-8 age group representing her country. Brighton performed very well indeed at the tournament and did incredibly well to have been selected. The experience has truly inspired her to continue to pursue her talent.
