Employee Services
You will be sent a contract of employment through the post stating all your terms and conditions of employment. Included in this pack will be a starter form for you to provide personal details and a reference form.
It is a condition of your employment that you have a satisfactory basic disclosure check on  le. The form and instructions for completion will be sent with your contract of employment. You will be required to renew your basic disclosure form every 3 years.
You must send all documents back to employee services in order for you to get paid.
Your manager will provide you with details on how to book your holiday using our itrent self-service website.
Health And Safety
We are committed to delivering great customer service and providing high standards of work- but in a safe way. Our aim is to keep everybody safe whilst at work.
This is a mandatory requirement that every employee of Mainstay must adhere to.
If you identify a hazard or have an accident or near miss contact your line manager. All incidents should be reported no matter how big or small.
If you come across something unsafe- report it! Never attempt a new activity if you have not been trained to do so. Inform your manager who will be able to support you and provide the adequate training you may need to ensure your safety.
This applies to all aspect of the property regardless of whether we currently provide this service. This is part of our added value to all our customers.
You will be provided with a Site Manual which contains all our health and safety policies and the risk assessments speci cally related to your job. Your manager will go through this manual with you and request that you sign all relevant documentation. Please ensure you review this Manual on a regular basis.
Continuous Improvement
We drive continual improvement throughout our business regardless of the task. If there is a smarter more e ective way of working we want to know about it. This will enhance our service delivery as well as keep us ahead of all potential risks to you and our operation.
Behaving Appropriately
We would all like to think we live a peaceful world where everyone behaves the same – unfortunately, this is not the case. We instil the work ethic and conduct expected from all Mainstay employees during their career with us. We give you the skill based training required for you role. We need to ensure that your behaviour does not a ect others. Negative, poor behaviour can bring the company into disrepute and raise questions regarding our values to everyone you meet
Don’t Cover Up Mistakes
We want to encourage open communication where people feel comfortable in reporting accidents, near misses to the management team. This enables us to review our processes and make adjustments if necessary – this is a vital part of continuously improving what we do.
Don’t be afraid to challenge
If you witness someone working unsafe, tell them or tell your line manager. It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure health & safety and if someone is putting themselves or others a risk we need to know about it.
