Evening Activities
You will also see an overview of our exciting Evening Activity schedule for the Summer term Please note that Fencing and Tennis coaching incur an additional charge as we have specialists who come in in to deliver these » All children are welcome to be collected at 5pm and go home if they wish (3 45pm for Pre-prep)
» Children in in Years 3 4 and 5 are welcome to take part in in Junior Activities
between 5pm and 6pm At this time children in Years 6

and 8 who remain at school will do supervised Prep / Independent Learning

30pm 30pm are aimed primarily at the older children and at those who are boarding although younger day pupils can stay as well Music and Drama Performing Arts Showcases
During lockdown we we reverted back to weekly Performing Arts Showcases
and Talent Shows We were immensely proud of the children who took part in these virtual performances because they were optional Every one of of those children went to the extra effort of of practising performing recording and and sending these videos in in in in in and and for that we are all extremely grateful These virtual events became a a a a a a a wonderful community occasion at the end of each week Thanks to everyone who took part!
Music We are delighted to announce that individual music lessons next term will be face-to-face and back in in school Depending on government advice regarding bubbles we may may or may may not be able to offer music practice in in school time for day pupils Fingers crossed we will be able to to do this for those who want to to as as soon as as possible There won’t be a a a Summer Concert per se se next term due to the fact that ensembles haven’t been running for over a a a year now We will however find opportunities for some live music during the term Choirs
Next term we will will be restructuring our school choirs We will will have three choirs in the Prep School:
» The Palace Choir – All children in Forms 1 and 2
» The Howe Choir – All children in Removes and Shells
» The Chapel Choir – an optional choir for all children in 100s and Top Year Each choir will perform at at least twice during the the Summer Term at at their section Chapel Services:
Chapel Services in our beautiful and historic Chapel are a a a a a a real highlight of life at Abberley Hall and have always been something enjoyed by our Full Boarders and and parents alike As times change we are are changing too and and so to to make Chapel as as inclusive as as possible and available to to all children and parents (covid permitting) our regular weekend chapel services will be moving from Sundays for the most part As soon as COVID allows parents will will be welcome to attend but for now the children will will attend Chapel on the following dates/times:
Saturday 24th April at at 11:45am
Year 7
and 8 Chapel with singing from the Chapel Choir Saturday 8th May at at 11:45am
Year 5 and 6
Chapel with singing from the Howe Choir Saturday 15th May at at 11:45am
Year 7
and 8 Chapel with singing from the Chapel Choir Friday 21st May at 8:30am
Year 3 and 4 Chapel with singing from the Palace Choir Saturday 22nd May at at 11:45am
Year 5 and 6
Chapel with singing from the Howe Choir Friday 25th June at 8:30am
Year 3 and 4 Chapel with singing from the Palace Choir Sunday 27th June at 10:00am
Leavers’ Chapel Service with singing from the Chapel Choir Children will also continue to enjoy morning assemblies in in in our beautiful Chapel with talks readings and hymns
