Merry Christmas!!
So that’s 2020 hurtling towards an end, the year we clapped for carers, put rainbows in our windows, sang ‘happy birthday’ whilst washing our hands and had a national toilet roll shortage. We had to wear a mask to do our shopping and keep two metres apart, but became closer in our hearts; what a year it has been! It’s been incredibly tough for everyone but looking back at 2020, I only see a great positive story of One Team who have pulled together to deliver over and above expectations, whilst looking out for and caring for each other along the way. Each and every one of you has played a part and as a team we have been through so much change together that has set us up for a fantastic 2021 and beyond.
In recognition of the sheer dedication and commitment, the Property Team are the winners of the Chief Exec Award 2020!
Our team were thanked by Penny James, DLG’s CEO, for everyone’s contribution towards delivering the ‘Safe Six’ elements of return to office, both on the Core Offices and the Auto Services. The team were also thanked for going beyond the return to office project to deliver on other business priorities all while delivering the ‘Return to Office’ workstream. Everyone was commended for providing outstanding support, guidance and delivery of a first class Covid response strategy for the workplace environments. A fantastic recognition for the true passion and dedication that our team have shown throughout the year!
It’s fantastic that despite what this year has thrown at us, we continue to constantly develop and improve what we do. Many of our team have this year developed themselves by passing exams, winning awards and gaining accreditations, some amazing achievements and this will continue into 2021 as we formulate our strategy to continue to grow the strengths and skills of our people.
On a note of personal thanks, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for the resilience, determination and incredible teamwork that you have shown this year to support our customer. Give yourself a huge pat on the back, you should feel really proud of what you’ve achieved this year, I am certainly very proud. Hope you all have a wonderful festive period, Merry Christmas, stay safe and here’s to a fantastic 2021, whatever it may throw at us!
