Welcome to the second edition of Malvern Buzz.
This second edition has been written under such strange circumstances and I am sure you find the stillness of your School as disconcerting as we do.
At Malvern College despite the majority of our pupils now being at home, we are very much open. We had already put in place Microsoft 365 Teams for distance learning scenarios, but never imagined they would be called upon as they are now. Our IT structure and system resilience has proven robust, with learning and collaboration continuing for each and every year group at home and overseas. Our co-curricular programme continues too - with music and drama, yoga and mountain bike mechanics and outdoor pursuits for the indoors, to name but a few.
I am delighted to let you know that we have introduced from September 2020 and for pupils joining the Foundation Year (Yr 9) a new day boarding option. This includes up to three specified nights of boarding per week.
Our day boarding pupils are fully integrated into the Houses and all pupils play a full and important part of life at the College, which helps create a thriving and inclusive community. Day boarding pupils and parents have access to an extended day where pupils can join the House from 7.30am and stay until 9.30pm and include three specified boarding nights.

I hope you continue to find Buzz interesting and useful to you as you help your parents and pupils research their senior school destinations. Should you have any questions please do contact me or the Admissions Team. Do please come and visit us and get a feel for the kind of School we are - you are assured of a very warm welcome.
Finally, and for those keen cricketers amongst you, please take a look at this favourable review in The Cricketer Magazine. It goes a little way to offset the disappointment of not hearing the leather on willow so far this season.
My best wishes to you all.
