Rachel Dobson
NEBOSH FPA/CFPA
Head of Health & Safety and Fire Safety
Rachel joined Mainstay in February 2013 and has extensive experience in the field of Health & Safety and Fire Safety within the multiple disciplines of Office, Retail, Legal, Facilities Management and Property Management. Rachel sits on the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) Health and Safety & Fire Safety Committee, and the ARMA Fire Safety in High Rise Block Committee, supporting good practice within the industry. She also represented Mainstay at The National Assembly for Wales inquiry on Fire Safety in High Rise Buildings; and provided evidence to the Equality, Local Government and Communities Committee. Rachel heads the Health & Safety department and Risk Assessors, as well
as providing technical support and project management for fire safety, and health and safety projects.
Charles Lucas
BA (Hons) FRICS MIRPM Group Technical Director
Charles is one of the leading residential and mixed use property management practitioners in the UK. A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, he has worked in the industry since graduating with a degree in Housing Studies in 1987. Charles has worked at Mainstay since 2001, and has been involved in countless high profile and complicated regeneration projects since. Providing his analytical and practical experience, in supporting developers, housebuilders, registered providers, and their support teams, in addressing
head on potential management issues at design stage and beyond.
Nick Young
MRICS
Head of Building Surveying
A Chartered Building Surveyor of 22 years’ experience
Nick has considerable experience in matters such as project management of major commercial refurbishment and new build schemes, insurance reinstatement cost assessments, party wall, dilapidations, building surveys, planned maintenance
and defects analysis. Having joined Mainstay Commercial in 2014 Nick has overall responsibility for the leadership and development of the Mainstay Commercial Building Consultancy Department. This includes providing building surveying services on Mainstay’s existing residential and commercial managed portfolio along with attracting new clients.
