ACTIVITIES
East Meets West: Healthy Aging Practices
The East Meets West Healthy Aging
Practices was held on Saturday, June 18,
2016, at Luther Village in Waterloo. 158
participants joined five Western and six
Eastern trained practitioners for an
afternoon of educational seminars, a QiGong
group exercise and dance performances
from the WCCA Reddish Red Leaf Elders
Club. Dr. Colleen McMillan (faculty, School
of Social Work) and Tony Tin (Librarian, Lusi
Wong Library) organized the event, which
was funded by the Network of Aging
Research, University of Waterloo:

Canadian History of Education Conference 2016
The Canadian History of Education
Association hosted its biennial
conference in Waterloo from
October 27 to 30, 2016. The
Renison Librarian created an
electronic conference brochure
(http://www.ache-
chea.ca/program/) and supervised
the student IT support team for
the conference.
