Great Backyard Bird Count 2:00 p.m.
If you like bird watching and want to help birds this winter, come to the Outdoor Adventure Center on this day. Educational staff will be showing guests how to participate in this annual bird count and lead a bird-count hike at Milliken State Park. The Great Backyard Bird Count allows the general public worldwide to gather data about their local birds that will benefit scientists and natural resource managers. Learn a new skill and provide a valuable service. Come dressed for an outdoor hike.

An opportunity to learn and try archery.
Must be a minimum of 8 years old. Limited to 10 participants each half hour. You must sign up in person to attend. FEE: Free with price of admission

Have you ever wanted to lend a wild animal your boots and coats? Come learn about some amazing adaptations that allow animals to survive in the freezing cold. We will show you some of our warmest mammal fur coats and discuss the wonders of tracking in winter.
