ACCREDITATION MANAGER CERTIFICATION
Accreditation Manager Certification recognizes managers who have successfully managed the process and have been an asset to the accreditation process. Twenty-seven managers received CALEA Accreditation Certification and were recognized during the CALEA Conference.
At the Frisco, Texas Conference, Mark Brooks and Kathy Strickland were the first to receive Accreditation Manager Certification.
  Online Training is a criteria for receiving Accreditation Manager Certification. New and experienced managers have stated the course is extremely beneficial.

$2018 CALEA ACCREDITATION SUPPORT PROGRAM RECIPIENTS
The CALEA Accreditation Support Program provides Ferguson (MO) Police Department
financial assistance for agencies interested in becoming accredited. This program is for the initial accreditation process and enrollment is open September thru December. Seven agencies applied and five agencies received assistance.
INL AND PF PARTNERSHIPS
CALEA’s partnership with the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), and the Police Foundation (PF) continued to thrive throughout the year. Through a partnership with the Police Foundation, CALEA supported research in key public safety areas, to promote stronger policies and practices within the industry. These included strategies for managing early intervention systems and demographic data usage to support recruitment and retention objectives.
INL provides grant funding to assist Mexican agencies through the accreditation process with the technical support from the Police Foundation.
