Successes in Line with State Initiatives
Community Based Services
At EPIC we encourage community exploration to build appropriate social
interactions by tapping into what people enjoy. Unfortunately, due to the
pandemic and constraints put on the
community through “stay at home” orders
mandated by the Governor; our team got
quite creative. By interviewing people
supported and providing a “spotlight” for
them to express themselves, Louis,
featured to the right, shares with us his
love of music and shares a little “free-style
rap”. Click his photo to enjoy.

Employment First
EPIC continues to move steadily to ensure that people with developmental
disabilities can work and be just as effective and important to our communities
as everyone else. In 2020, the pandemic forced furloughs of 13% and we
ended our year with 78% of people employed. Since that time, EPIC’s
employment team has been “on fire” and reestablished employment for all
but two people, ending the year with 92% of people in our employment
program engaged and maintaining employment with competitive wages.
Delores, pictured below, is a longstanding employee of Burger King and her
team works tirelessly to ensure she receives transportation to and from a job
that she loves.
