Looking Ahead

                          Clarissa Mitchell, CEO

“Brighter days ahead.” Over the past year, that statement has EXECUTIVE
helped me remain a focused leader of an organization where LEADERSHIP
indirectly, I hold responsibility for more than 400 hundred lives.
People with disabilities that we support, along with their Clarissa L. Mitchell,
support teams rely on EPIC being stable and dedicated to their CEO
           well-being.
                                                                                             Karen Lopez, COO
A part of providing that stability, is focusing on “Flattening the Francis DiSalvo, CFO
COVID curve”, which not only has been a goal for countries
everywhere, but also at EPIC. Where does EPIC stand? Christina Wilson, Day
Beginning in May of 2020 EPIC has been analyzing the Service Director
effectiveness of our policies and procedures. Reported COVID
during FY21, dramatically improved over 2020 when we had Immaculate
                                                                                             Anyangwe, HR
the unfortunate experience of laying to rest, a few people that Director
           we supported.
                                                                                             Marcia Odeyemi, RN,
These results are reflective of EPIC’s 2021 ongoing Nursing Director
commitment to strengthening policies and procedures related Myles Sheffey,
to vaccinations and safety protocol measures. EPIC not only Residential
embraced CDC guidelines but strengthened processes specific
to our unique population. EPIC’s Program Service Plan was
again reviewed in 2021 updating services, specifically adding
           our new service model, Telehealth.

Our team was successful in keeping people we support
engaged in person-centered activities. Although most activity
was limited to their homes, creativity from our support team
soared as they engaged people to identify new past times, such
as quilting, arts & crafts, indoor basketball and other activities
that encouraged physical and mental health. Quilting

As EPIC continues our focus of providing a platform of services
inline with our mission, we will ease into community supports
using protective measures like mask-wearing and conducting
           activities in smaller groups.

As always, EPIC takes seriously, the trust that has been placed
in our team and we look forward to continuing to support
adults with disabilities in the months and years ahead. Arts & Crafts
